Squeaky Wheel Shouldn't Be Heard
We have all heard the saying, ‘the squeaky wheel gets the grease’ and it is an adage which is used on children who don’t speak up in class and are apt to be left behind, and is a good motto for the workplace in terms of getting noticed and having opportunities to advance your career.
However, in the limousine hire industry, your wheels are your business, and if you leave it until you hear them squeaking for grease, you have probably left it too long. If a problem with your limousines festers to the point that you or your chauffeurs notice there is something wrong with your limos, then the problem is not only dangerous but it is also likely to be harder and more expensive to fix.
This is why it is important to make sure your limousine fleets are regularly maintained and that everything from the wheels to the aerial and everything in between are monitored for wear and tear, cleaned for optimum performance and replaced and fixed long before they get a chance to ‘squeak’. Having properly maintained limousines, especially in the engine components, the air filters and the tyres and tyre pressure can also help ensure you keep your fuel consumption to a minimum.
If any of these things are set incorrectly, or are worn and working harder than they should be, the limousine is going to be trying to compensate in other ways and this will be using up more fuel. Plus, ensuring everything is clean, for example your air filters, will ensure the air is easily delivered to the engine and that your climate control system is working properly, not to mention without shooting air full of dust at your passengers.
But don’t worry if you do hear a ‘squeaky wheel’ in some part of your limousine because as long as you give it grease, or whatever else it needs as soon as you notice it, your limousine will be back in top form before you know it. Rather than ignoring your squeaky wheel and having it lead to a broken limo fleet.
